Summary:
The Philistines gather to fight against Israel. David is still hiding in Philistine country and has been helping them.
Saul is frightened when he realizes God is not answering him. He disguises himself and finds a medium to call up the spirit of Samuel. Samuel predicts the defeat of Israel as well as the death of King Saul and his sons.
When the medium realizes what has happened she feeds Saul and send him on his way.
My Take Away:
No matter how strong your army or, how clever your disguise; if you have rejected God for your own way God will eventually allow you to learn to trust him, by letting you suffer the natural consequences of your choice. In the long run everyone will understand that God cannot be mocked. What a man sows he also reaps.
