How Not to Motivate you Team; Deuteronomy 9

The book of Deuteronomy is a summary of all that has happened between God and the Israelites from the time he miraculously brought them out of slavery in Egypt up until this memorable day of Moses' great "pep talk" as they
prepare to enter the promised land. In chapter 9 Moses takes the time to remind them that; the enemy is huge.... but don't worry, God isn't doing this because you deserve it.... but don't worry and don't forget how awful you have been so far.... but don't worry. Each motivational point is meant to send them in to conquer the promised land with humility and caution. Instead of sending them in pumped up to defeat the enemy, Moses is doing the opposite. He is sending them with the cautions reminder of how weak and unreliable they are, but how strong and faithful God is. They don't need to be cautious about their faith in God, they need to be VERY cautious about EVER putting faith in themselves. There only hope of victory is to have full faith that God will go before them as long as they remain faithful to Him!!
