2 Samuel 21: My Bible Blog
My Bible Blog: 2 Samuel 21
No matter where you are or who you know, when the subject of politics or religion comes up people have an opinion. Lives can be deeply effected by those who are in a places of power or position. History is full of whole peoples that have been decimated, children who have been orphaned and
economic ruin that has been a result of wars fought over religion or power. Many of us will avoid the topic to keep peace at dinner or avoid a confrontation, but we can't deny that who is in power matters. In today's chapter David is faced with a famine in the land of Israel. David seeks God to find an answer to the issue facing his people. David still faces war to keep his people safe, lives are lost and people choose sides, but David's decision is based on direction from God, not the opinions of men.
I wonder if we could make more of a difference for our cities, states and nations if we chose to replace arguing with prayer.
